Project: Ironman Competition Wireless Timing System
As a Telecommunications Technician at Fettell Communications, I had the opportunity to work on a project for the Ironman competition. My main responsibility was to program the wireless access points for the timing stations, which were part of a private LAN infrastructure. This involved setting up long-range wireless links throughout the Port Macquarie region to connect all the timing stations for the competition.
Tasks and Achievements:
- Collaborated with stakeholders to gather their requirements and understand their specific needs for the timing system.
- Designed and implemented a wireless infrastructure solution that met the requirements of the Ironman competition.
